Who we are
A Little Random is an app and website made by Harley Webb Futures Pty Ltd (ABN 64 703 411 705), trading as A Little Random, Australia. In this policy, "we" and "us" means that company.
Questions, requests or complaints about your privacy: [email protected]. We reply within 30 days, usually much sooner.
The short version
- There are no accounts. Your streak, boards, favourites, badges, name and birthday are kept on your phone, not on our servers.
- The app never asks for your email. If you buy merch, you give your email at the checkout so the shop can send your receipt and tracking. We don't run a mailing list.
- Apple or Google take your payments. We never see your card details.
- We don't sell your information, show ads or track you across other apps and websites.
- You're in charge. Change your details, unsubscribe, or erase everything from Settings in the app.

We don't ask for your contacts, location, photos, camera or microphone. The app's only permission is notifications, and only if you allow them.
This website
This website uses no cookies and no advertising or tracking tools. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which handles your browser's IP address to deliver the pages, and we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits in total, without cookies and without identifying you.

We don't use your information for advertising, profiling or automated decisions about you.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the services that run parts of the app for us. Each has its own privacy policy.

We would also share information if the law requires it, or with a buyer if the business is ever sold (and this policy would still apply). We never sell or rent your information.
How long we keep it
- On your phone: for as long as the app is installed. Your phone's own backup (iCloud or Google) may also keep a copy; that is controlled by your phone settings, not by us.
- If your subscription ends: the app locks, but keeps your streak, boards and favourites for 30 days in case you come back. The first time you open the app after day 30, it wipes them. Favourites slot packs you bought are not lost: Restore Purchases brings them back.
- If you delete the app: everything it kept on your phone goes with it.
- Merch orders: Shopify and Printful keep order records for as long as tax and consumer law require (usually 5 to 7 years).
- Emails you send us: up to 2 years, then deleted.
Your choices and rights
In the app, under Settings:
- You: change your name or birthday.
- Daily notification: turn reminders off, or change the time.
- Erase everything on this phone: wipes your streak, boards, favourites, badges and details. It doesn't cancel your subscription; do that in your App Store or Google Play settings.
By email to [email protected], you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. We don't hold much: most of it is only on your phone.
If you're not happy with our answer, you can complain to your privacy regulator:
- Australia: Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au)
- New Zealand: Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz)
- UK: Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk)
- USA: depending on your state, you may have extra rights (for example in California). We honour the same requests for everyone, wherever you live.
Children
A Little Random is not made for anyone under 16 and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has given us their email, contact us and we'll delete it.
Security
What's on your phone is protected by your phone's own lock and encryption. The services we use protect what they hold with industry-standard security. No system is perfectly secure, so if something ever goes wrong that affects you, we'll tell you and the regulator as the law requires.
Information sent overseas
Some of the services above store information outside your country, mostly in the USA, and also the EU. We only use services that protect it to the standard your local law requires.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top and, for big changes, tell you in the app before they apply.
